This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures on the collection, use, and disclosure of your information when you use the AppLock application (the "Service").
1. Information Collection and Use
Our Service is designed to protect your privacy. Most of the data processed by the Service is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
Usage Data (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS):
We use this permission to detect when a protected application is opened in order to display the lock screen. This data is processed in real-time and is never stored or shared.
Camera Access:
The camera is used solely for the "Intruder Selfie" feature. If enabled, the Service takes a photo of anyone who fails to unlock an app. These photos are stored locally on your device. If you are a Premium user and opt-in, these photos can be sent to an email address provided by you via your own configured SMTP settings.
Location Data:
If you use the "Safe Location" feature, the app requires access to your location (even in the background) to automatically disable the lock when you are in a trusted zone. This data is used only for this purpose and is not collected or shared.
2. Third-Party Services
The Service uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you:
- Google Play Services: Used for core Android functionality and application updates.
- AdMob: We show advertisements to provide the Service for free. AdMob may collect device identifiers to show relevant ads.
- Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics: We use these to understand app performance and fix technical issues. All data is anonymous.
- Google Play Billing: Used to process Premium subscriptions securely.
3. Data Retention
Your security PIN, patterns, and intruder photos are stored locally on your device's private storage. If you uninstall the application, this data is permanently deleted. We do not have access to your personal PIN or photos.
4. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
